Old English Sheepdogs are a high maintenance dogs.  In an ideal world, all dogs sold as puppies would stay in their homes forever.  This is not an ideal world.  Old English Sheepdogs are placed in shelters to be rescued for various reasons.  Death in the family, moving, dog too much work, etc.  The facts are rescue is a reality in this breed.  Before you purchase a puppy OESCA would urge you to read the following:

Kramer

My name is Kramer Couture. I was rescued through NEOESR, in March of 1996. I came to my furever home when I was 11 months old. I turned 12 years old this past April.
 
I live in Lynn, Ma.,with my mom Donna. I am a retired blood donor dog. I've attended the last two OESCA's Parade of the Rescue dogs. I'm not bragging, but, I've won 1st place in my costumes two years in a row. I was a "Boston Baked Bean Pot" in Lancaster, Pa., and I was "Paw Revere's horse" in Williamsburg, Va.
 
I am also famous for being "Colonel Kramer" in the Wigglebus stories.
